International Travel Tips
- For international
travel, always carry extra copies of your passport
and passport photo. This will prevent you from
having to turn over your passport to customs
officials for photocopying and also simplifies the
visa application process.
- Make sure that your
passport has not expired. Also, some countries
require a specific minimum period of validity
remaining on the passport, such as six months, to be
admitted to the country.
- Check the U.S. State
Department Travel Warnings before every
international trip.
- Carry and
international drivers license. Non-English speaking
law enforcement officials are more likely to
recognize this document than a state drivers
license.
- Research the customs
and business practices of the country where you will
be staying.
